How do Joya shoes fit?

Ratgeber Buying advice | Fit and size selection

Joya shoes are available in different models, lasts and constructions. Therefore, it is not possible to say generally that all Joya shoes fit the same. The specific model, the shape of your foot and your personal fit are decisive.

For the right choice, it is advisable to try on your usual size and, if possible, compare it with an adjacent size.

Note: A general sizing rule cannot replace trying on the shoes. Product-specific or model-specific size information should be taken into account when making your choice.

Does this affect you?

  • You are buying Joya shoes for the first time
  • You are between two shoe sizes
  • You are ordering Joya shoes online
  • You have wide or narrow feet
  • You wear insoles
  • You want to avoid buying the wrong size

Possible causes

  • Different lasts
  • Foot width
  • Instep height
  • Individual foot shape
  • Insoles
  • Model-specific construction

What role does the shoe play?

Perceived fit depends not only on the shoe size indicated. The shape of the last, interior volume, foot width, instep height and, where applicable, insoles all affect the fit.

What matters when choosing a size

  • Length – sufficient room in front of the toes.
  • Width – no pressure at the sides.
  • Heel fit – secure without slipping.
  • Interior volume – relevant for a high instep or insoles.
  • Specific model – fits may differ.

In brief

Joya models may differ in their fit.

The nominal shoe size alone does not determine the fit.

Foot width and instep height are important factors.

Insoles change the interior volume.

Both feet should be considered when trying on shoes.

If you are unsure, trying on the shoes in person is recommended.

Buying advice

If possible, try on shoes with the socks and insoles you will use later. Test both feet and walk for a few minutes. A shoe should neither pinch nor slip noticeably.

Fit and size selection - Frequently asked questions

Do Joya shoes fit true to size?
This cannot be answered generally for all models. Fit depends on the specific model and the individual shape of the foot.
Should I order my usual shoe size?
Your usual shoe size is a sensible starting point. The actual fit should be checked with the specific model.
Do all Joya models fit the same?
No. Lasts, materials and constructions may differ.
What should I do if I am between two sizes?
If possible, try on both sizes and compare them in terms of length, heel fit and toe room.
How much room should there be in front of the toes?
The toes should have sufficient freedom of movement and should not touch the front when walking.
What should I consider if I have wide feet?
In addition to length, the width of the last is decisive. A larger shoe size is not automatically the better solution.
What should I consider if I have a high instep?
The interior volume and adjustment options of the specific model should be checked.
Do insoles change the shoe size?
Insoles primarily change the available interior volume and can therefore affect the fit.
Should I try on Joya shoes in the afternoon?
This can be useful, as feet may increase slightly in volume over the course of the day.
How do I recognize the right fit?
The shoe should provide sufficient room for the toes, fit securely at the heel and not press against the sides or instep.
What should I consider when ordering online?
Check the model-specific size information and the applicable exchange or return conditions.
